Why cleaning is like meditation for me – How It Peps Me Up???

I know many of you would find the above heading quite absurd, but just the other day, I was going through some write up on meditation.

The definition clearly stated that meditation is any activity that brings you joy and happiness when you do it and it sort of peps you up.   For some singing may be like meditating and for few of you, it could be painting.  Though, I love singing and painting as well which are few of my other hobbies, the very thought of having a clean and fresh home is something that actually brings a smile to my face.

It feels dirty and unhealthy when we have a lot of mess in our homes so get started with some basic cleaning as we anyways have Diwali around the corner.  There will be a lot of unwanted stuff that you may not even be using.  Try and get the clutter out and make space. I have observed that when the cupboards and shelves are packed to the brim with stuff that I am not even using or I have just managed to accumulate stuff more than is required, it actually makes me feel suffocated.

With space around, there is space for breathing for sure.  The thought of completing the cleaning of my home and keeping things in the right place sort of gives me a high and when I sit back and catch a glimpse of the tidy room, I feel so happy. I know many of my friends will know this for sure.  Another thing that we could do when we are actually cleaning our home is to put on some music that we like and go about with cleaning  room by room.  If you are tired, take a break, make yourself a cuppa koffee and start again.  I enjoy doing this.

If you are of those spring cleaning types like me, then of course there will not be much of cleaning.  Women are into multitasking nowadays and it leaves a little time or no time absolutely for regular cleaning.  But what we could do is to set aside atleast 10 mints on a weekly basis as there is a lot of clutter that we could then avoid.  It makes things easier for us and we feel good that we are doing this.

Next time, when you are thinking of buying something, just pause, take a second and think if you have space for it in your closet or cupboard. If no, then try disposing off something or give it to charity before you allow any new item to make way into your closet.

Luv u all and happiieeeeeeeeee cleaning !!!!!!!!!!
