Nothing like our 1840 Chaitime

Yes, you heard it right, I look forward to the evening Chaitime (oops we) and that’s exactly when the clock strikes 1840.

It’s time for the evening tea and the chairs are arranged perfectly to accommodate all the eats on the small table and no points for guessing that within few minutes the adrak chai would be adorning the table.

After a fruitful day at work, coming home and have the hot steaming tea is something absolutely orgasmic. Those of you who have the privilege to come home around that time and sip the tea will be able to relate to me perfectly.  Those of you who have not tried it, should definitely give it a try. It’s the least we can ask for, isn’t it?

With an assortment of goodies ranging from homemade snacks to our all time favorite (Anytime doughnut) we just love et al.  Not to forget the A-1 samosas (no one can eat just one) – so you know where all the passion for the evening chai is coming from.  The eats list is anything from dry snacks like methi khakras to poha chivdas, sookha bhel with finely chopped veggies and topped with coriander with a dash of lemon.

Nothing less than a gastronomic travel which our family delves into every evening totally oblivious to the clock that’s ticking in.  My family loves the roasted groundnuts that is stored in the shining steel container and the typical half roasted burnt aroma that comes out of the container everytime we dig our hands into it.  By now, you would have got a feel and the aroma of the groundnuts has mesmerized your tastebuds for sure.

Its’ Chaitime !!! Bye for now
