Why there is only one U- YOU ARE A DESIGNER PIECE CRAFTED BY THE DIVINE SUPREME POWER

Hi everyone!!

Am back after this short sabbatical .  So here we Go!!

I find it extremely special and happy after reading that there is only one unique piece that the Divine Supreme Power has made and that is each one of US.  Everyone is unique in our own way.  The Supreme Power has not used the same mould for creation.  He did not want to duplicate because he felt that he would do injustice.  It is his ardent belief that each of us is different and has some quality that is worth appreciating.   Many a times, we do not like ourselves when we look into the mirror.  But believe me, there is no one who has the same face, same shape of eyes, lips, hair, feelings (can two people feel the same feelings at the same point in time)- the answer is NO.

It has been scientifically proven and accepted for a fact that the fingerprints of two individuals can never be similar. That explains everything.  Can you believe the wonderful creation we are that in such a big UNIVERSE, even fingerprints do not match.  What a wonderful ENGINEER this great Divine being is.   It’s been proven that the shape of lips and the lines on the skin are different with different patterns.
Another interesting research is that even the size and shape of the tummy is different and last but not the least; the eye shape is different too.  When so many things are unique, it sums up that we are so so UNIQUE.  We the miraculous unduplicatable self is completely a designer piece and we can never attach a price tag to it.

This sums that all of us are special and unique in our own ways.  We have a right to our feelings, joys, sorrows and we do not have to put up a show always.  The more we try and imitate and want to be like someone, we are doing injustice to our own authentic self. So let’s not get into the rat race of proving ourselves. Let’s he happy the way we are and try doing this one role to our bestest.
So be HAPPY BEING U –It’s Wonderful!!

Blessings and Luv Always

Revisiting our Childhood once again- PART 1- HAPPY CHILDREN’S DAY

Heya everyone!!!
Firstly, Happy Children’s Day to all of us!!!
It feels truly wonderful when we think of ourselves as kids, not that many of us have grown up but we just tend to behave all though we have. Those of you who are still stressed, just for today, become a kid and do those things that you enjoyed doing.  I know that many of us are totally engrossed and busy in the humdrum of the fast paced life but few hours today will not make a difference for sure.
I remember in school we had celebrations for Children’s day and we used to participate in the cultural programs and make sure that day our teachers were entertained.  I am sure all of us would have entertained our teachers all through the years in school, with our antics and naughty acts but this was the official day when we got the chance to do so in front of a big audience.
As kids we could do anything that was supposedly ‘tabboo’ and get away with it.  Even when we used to fight with friends, it used to be settled then and there. There was innocence.  We never carried anything back home or in our minds. But as we grow up we tend to do the exact opposite of what we did when we were kids. We find it difficult to forgive and let go.  Kids only love to play, be happy, happier and happiest.  They do not label anyone – for them everything is fun.  We never believed in labels and for us everyone was a friend and it was all about having fun and more fun.
I remember when I was a kid and was also very naughty then.  I and my sister used to fight and then make up in less than 5 mints. The punishment was not to talk to my little sister. This was the greatest punishment I felt, I would wait for those 5 mints to end as if it never existed and then go and start playing and troubling her again.  That was childhood – full of innocence.
There was fun in drawing, painting, making sand castles, dancing like no one’s watching, singing even though we did not know the lyrics –but it was fun, there was enjoyment in that.  During those days we had these ice-cream vendors who used to come in the afternoon selling different colours and flavours of ice cream candies. I used to literally wait for the jingling sound of his vehicle and literally prayed that he would come that day (more so because Amma would have promised me to treat me to that ice candy).  Eating that was so joyful and I felt as if I was in the 7th heaven. I used to plead with amma to buy me one everyday, but as all of us would be aware that money was less those days.  But the satisfaction of eating that 25 paisa ice candy can never be compared to the Baskin Robbins chocolate ice cream of today.
More about our childhood memories in the next blogpost!!!
Bye for now, keep smiling – it’s simple and will keep your Blood Pressure under control.
P.S.  Did you know that kids smile more than 350 times in a day (without exaggeration) and adults max 15 times.

Making the Weighing machine your friend for LIFE – You can see miracles happening

Remember how many times we dread or conveniently ignore recording our weight.  The moment we see the weighing machine, we somehow get uncomfortable.  Why is that we do not appreciate our body the way it is. I must mention here that the moment we start hating our bodies, it will hate you doubly in return.

Love the body and wish it good and see wonders happening. It is working for a lot many people, me included.  It is important that we make peace with our bodies.
I have heard so many of my friends who intend losing weight saying “ Even if I drink water, I will gain weight” and there it is!  The Universe says  A big YES to it and grants your wish. You will receive exactly what you ask for, neither more nor less.  The universe does not believe in simply doing things for fun.  It knows only to give what you have asked for. So the next time, you are saying anything related to your weight or health, please be aware of what you are thinking and saying.

I have begun to make peace with my body and I am sending the right messages to it day in and day out. It is getting to understand my feelings and emotions and acting exactly in the manner I wish it to behave.  So starting today just say this wonderful affirmation:

“ I CHOOSE TO BE HEALTHY AND HAPPY EVERY SECOND OF MY LIFE”.

I FEED ONLY POSITIVE THOUGHTS TO MY BODY AND MIND AND IT ACTS EXACTLY THE WAY I  WISH IT TO BEHAVE.

These two Health affirmations can do wonders and believe me it will also ease you of many health related issues.  In addition to affirmations, also before drifting off to sleep, close your eyes and pray that you are going to introduce healthy eating habits and make exercise a part of your life.

With all these new things happening in your life, nothing can go wrong.  It is never too late to start of healthy habits in our life. So healthy eating and when I mean healthy eating, please look what you are eating, bless the food and pray that the food will give you energy for Life.

That’s all for now.

Knock Knock!!! This is Happinezzzz here – May I come in?

Just the other day I visualized a situation wherein there is a knock on my door.  I go and open the door and check out who has come knocking at this unearthly hour?  There is a reply coming “Hi Rekha!  This is happinezz here, may I enter your home?”

This truly was like a cinema movie or a serial that was going on.  I smiled to myself and I told “Yes, you may come in My Fair Lady and reside in my home and all those homes that are waiting to let you in.
Somehow she was not very happy with what I said.  She immediately responded saying, no I am not very happy visiting few homes.  I asked her the reason for this.  She told me that many of the homes are not quite inviting when it came to welcoming her.  I told her Ms.  Happinezzz,  you have continued to bless my home, family and friends.  But there are many other people who have been waiting for you.  Please visit them as well as they will be more than happy to have you in their homes.

She told me “But they are not even keen that I visit them”.  I told her ”Who told you this”  Will anyone not be happy that you are visiting.  She said “Yes Rekha”.
I asked her what should all those people do to welcome her.  She told me it was simple.  They just had to have faith in her that she will visit their homes and be with them for as long as they wish her to.  Tell them not to doubt me whatsoever.

I reassured her that it would not be the case henceforth as we are all waiting with arms open to welcome her.  We love her so much that we want to permanently make her stay in our homes.  I winked at her and told her “Ms. Happinezzz, I don’t’ mind bribing you as long as you stay in my home.

She said “Rekha I do not take bribes, but as long as you keep smiling and spreading the message of love and happiness, I will be your slave for LIFE”.

I told her “Is this all you want from your folks”. She smiled and said “That’s it”.
In return she thanked me and asked me for her favourite Koffee and I happily made it for her.  She was so happy and kissed me goodbye “She said I have spread the magic and aroma of happiness in your life, it will stay here for a long long time, till I make the next visit”. I thanked her profusely and felt happy that she is going to many more homes to bless them.

So keep the doors of your mind open to welcome her IN.  She comes in like a gust of cool breeze and will rejuvenate your mind and body and this is what you have been searching for since a long time.

Signing off for now

Starting everyday on a new SLATE – SLATE OF LIFE – IF YOU OVERWRITE, MARKS WILL BE CUT!!!!!

It is so exciting to think that we will be given a new Slate everyday and we could write anything and everything we wished for.

Release the pain from the past and start life on a new slate everyday. I am sure all of us will relate to that black slate that we had during our childhood.  I remember that I and my sis were given a beaded slate and the beads were of different colours like bright orange, yellow and green.  Just yesterday I was speaking to my sister Radhika and we exchanged this thought,  we laughed and laughed till we actually had tears in our eyes. We used to write down so many things and used to erase it out if we made a mistake or erase things which we did not relate to.  Our life is like that.  When we are infants, we do not judge anything and are able to do things so easily, so why is that when we grow up, we tend to think and rethink and rake our minds.

It is still not too late to begin, rather, it is never too late to begin – Let’s do this little exercise beginning today.  Let’s erase all those things, incidents, memories of the past that caused us pain and we felt bad and unhappy about.  Don’t overwrite on the same slate everyday, nothing will be visible, in fact it is absolutely so confusing to read something that is overwritten.  Remember, in the school, we were told that MARKS WOULD BE CUT IF YOU OVERWRITE.  Just like that you will miss out on the wonderful moments and beautiful events if you OVERWRITE on the same slate day in and day out.

Let’s treat each day like a new SLATE.  In fact, the Universe (the Divine Soul) gives us a new Slate everyday.  We tend to keep overwriting on it without erasing the old thoughts and incidents so our minds are confused.  When our mind is confused, we tend to send out negative signals to our body and this is why many of us face so called dis-ease and health ailments.  Let’s make use of the wonderful slate that has been bestowed on us. Let’s erase those memories that are not doing any good to our life, let’s write a new CHAPTER of LIFE everyday.

Even the thought that we are getting a new slate everyday is so exciting, just close your eyes, become like a kid and drift back thinking that we are given this wonderful lease of life everyday.  Write on the Slate what you wish your life to be. I have actually got a slate and am writing what I want my day to be everyday,  it’s so exciting and interesting.

Spreading the magic dust of positivity around – PART 2

Hey folks ! This is the 2nd part of magic dust, in the last blog post, the magic dust involved smiles, hugs and compliments.  The remaining goes as below:

Changing emotions

We use a lot of emoticons nowadays when we send tweets, send messages, chat and so on.  Let’s change our emotions just for few hours and try and remain in a state of optimism and attitude.  We know that we cannot control our emotions but let’s make a dedicated effort to do it.  Emotional shift is what is required when our emotions are not in our control and drifting our thoughts to something better is the best way to be in that State of BLISS.

Helping someone genuinely

Even small help in form of kind is welcome and well appreciated and each one of us would have experienced this in some form or the other.  When you truly want something and when you receive it, it feels as if it God Sent! And believe me, it truly is.

The art of listening

We have forgotten the art of listening and somehow bent on putting across our thoughts to other people. When I am talking about this topic, the my mind goes to Arnab Goswami – CNN IBN – heeheeheh – hey Arnab I just love you for the way you conduct your debates and shows, even if you are not much of a listener.  Love you still for being more of a speaker than a listener.

Stop exaggerating things

Stating things as they are makes things simpler and easier for everyone. The moment it is exaggerated or blown out of proportion, things appear humongous.   See things as they are and life becomes simpler and easier.

Listen to music which you once loved

Many a times, we tend to connect to our good old days when we listen to a particular piece of music that we had once heard.  Not that TODAY is not a good day, but things were different then from what they are today.  This will pep up your mood and make you feel better and brighter.

Feeding a hungry person

This is the most wonderful act that anyone can do.  I try and do this regularly and I feel so happy from within.  There is a sense of satisfaction that I receive.  I am sure most of you may be doing this in one form or the other.  My daughter does this whenever she gets the opportunity and I am proud of this act of hers.

There are many more things that I would like to express through my blog !! Thanks once again all you beautiful people for encouraging me write and being with me all through.  All your likes and comments and pageviews truly mean a lot to me.

Thanks once again,  Luv u all

Spreading the magic dust of positivity around – PART 1

Hi folks, This is Part 1 of spreading the magic dust.  I will be covering 3 to 4 things in this blog post and the second half will be covered in the next blog post.  Keep reading and enjoying.   Please send me your comments and any other posts you want me to write on.  Comments are always WELCOME.

Positive people have a magnetic attraction and quality within them and you will notice it clearly from the way they speak, communicate, express a lot with their hands, smile looking into your eyes and everything about them is positive.  We just love to be around them and listen to them.  This is what most of the mentors and self development geniuses do.

At times simply being with them helps us smile especially when we are feeling down.  They are hi end optimists and there is a sense of comfort when we are with them. Though we may find it difficult to act and appear positive all the time, we can definitely make a start.  So let’s start with this simple positivity exercise.

SMILE MANTRA

Try doing this, look into the mirror and smile, even if it is a forced smile. Fake it to experience it and you will feel like laughing at yourself and feel happy.

COMPLIMENT MANTRA

Though many amongst us are not very comfortable and open to giving compliments, try it out!!  Just like we love to receive compliments, be open when it comes to giving. It does not cause you a dime but it will make you feel happy.

JADOO KI JHAPPI (HUGS)

They are absolutely wonderful and even if one person is down, a hug can change things absolutely.  I have seen many people just breaking down and crying when they are hugged.  Any sort of insecurity that one faces fades away when one is hugged.  Hug your kids at least once in a day, they will become your best friends for LIFE, I assure you that.  Everyone of us love it when we are hugged, we are just not honest telling about it.  In India, we do not have the habit of hugging our elders, but I am sure in many families we are now getting into this wonderful habit and it is absolutely wonderful and heartwhelming.

Lots of Luv to U

Pat yourself on the back – U R 22222 GUD

Just like you give your attention and love to someone, you too deserve all the love and affection.  It works either ways! With awareness about appreciating all the good things in life and all the encouragement we provide to our kids and family, we too need to pat ourselves and appreciate ourselves for the wonderful things that we are doing for our body, mind and of course for our near and dear ones.

Just as we thank the divine power or God for the good things in life, take a minute to appreciate yourself today.  Let’s take a joy ride of the wonderful things that we have done this year and it could be anything from learning a new skill to a new hobby.  If you are taking care of your body by eating right, exercising, walking for half an hour daily, it’s something worth appreciating.

Treating your body like a temple and feeding it with the right foods and water is like worshipping God and I completely believe in it.  Love your body and it will love you more that you had even imagined.  We are down on certain days but the very power and the knowledge to get back to life with all vigour and strength is something that is worth appreciating.  At times we say NO to things we are not comfortable with.  It’s fine, as long as you are able to stand your ground, you are going to be OK.   You smile at strangers and bring a smile on their face, that’s something worth feeling good and appreciating about.  If you are doing something that has a purpose and you are driven passionately for it, it is worth appreciating.

You sleep well and feed your body and min with good thoughts and feel rejuvenated is one form of loving your body.  When you silently pray for someone to get alright or simply close your eyes and bless them, it’s worth appreciating. You are able to make someone laugh – it’s brilliant.  You are accepting someone with their flaws and are not judgemental – it’s wonderful and you deserve a pat. If you are able to forgive someone even though they have not been very good to you, it’s commendable.  Give yourself a pat for all these wonderful things.  At times, there may not be people around to pat you, but it’s fine as long as you are able to appreciate yourself.

If you truly want to bring about a change in the society and the manner in which people think and are able to make a difference even if it is a small one, it’s worth appreciating.  You are using eco-friendly products to save the environment, you celebrate your birthday with the street kids, you give food to someone who is hungry – every bit of what you are doing is worth saluting.

At times we have to remind ourselves that we are really good and good the way we are.   This is why I had to put down everything in writing.

I SALUTE ALL U WONDERFUL PEOPLE AND APPRECIATE YOU AND PAT YOU ON THE BACK FOR THE WONDERFUL THINGS THAT YOU HAVE BEEN DOING!!

I love U LIFE and will always keep loving U – I am going to celebrate U every second of my life.

I had some time to myself during the 4 days of holidays and even in those moments of happiness and laughter, there was something I felt sad about.  I tried to figure it out. We all know for sure that we are going to leave this physical world at some point of time, but when you actually give your thoughts to it, it will make you feel bad. Yes, I did feel bad.

During these times when we are down what we need to do is to try and change those thoughts.  Life is fair in all its sense – you have the choice to either feel happy or sad.  So change the thoughts and think of those moments of life where you felt happy and enjoyed.

If you have family, wonderful friends, a decent job that satisfies your basics, someone to love you unconditionally, accept you just the way you are, then you have nothing to feel sad about.  Are you able to get up every morning, walk on your feet, make your own Koffee and able to see the world outside?  If all this is a big YES, then you should say YES to life, because that is what is important.

We need to celebrate every second of our life because every second gone is GONE. There is no rewind button here.  The harsh words you have spoken cannot be taken back but yes you could say Sorry (my earlier blog post mentioned about this topic). Yes, I repeat once again, do not put off things that you would love doing TODAY.  Love the life you have been given just the way it has been presented to you.  Don’t fret and worry for there is nothing permanent in life.  THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!  As long as we understand this, life becomes simpler and merrier.

If you want to watch a movie, go ahead and watch it, you want to get wet in the rain with you beloved, do it, the time is NOW. Want to eat your favorite ice cream but worried about putting on extra flab – Don’t worry , simply eat it, but make sure you walk an extra mile to burn it off.  There is an answer and solution for everything,  so don’t worry.

Laugh loud till your tummy aches and watch your favorite programs where there is a lot of laughter.  Dance the way you wish to- do not judge whether you are doing the right steps or not.  No one is here to give you an award.  Simply go ahead and do whatever your heart feels and do it WHOLEHEARTEDLY.
Say YES TO LIFE !!! IT IS TRULY TRULY BEAUTIFUL AND WORTH LIVING.  Don’t die when you are still ALIVE.

Lots of Luv

Following your heart and your passion too!!!

How many times have we heard the saying that you need to follow your heart.  This implies that you should do those things that you are passionate about and you will automatically follow your heart.  When we were young, we did what our heart felt like doing, but as we grow up and with a lot of things that are fed into our brains and heart, we tend to somehow lose track of what our heart wanted. However, in this commercial and business world, we definitely need to survive and require money.  So do what it takes to keep yourself as well as your family happy but make time and space for what you also love to do for yourself.

But often in pursuit of material happiness, the heart takes a back place. However, with awareness about wanting to be happy and doing things that give us happiness, many of us (me included) voluntarily have chosen to go slow to also make time for what our heart desires and what our passion is.  Give some time to your heart as well and see how beautiful life turns out to be.

It will not take much time to sit down and identify what exactly your mind wants. With a month and more for this year to end and the New Year approaching, take some time, sit down and find out what your passion is. Even devoting few minutes daily to it will help you achieve your goals for the New Year. It is not as tough as we presume it to be. It all begins with writing down.  If you are not able to gather your thoughts immediately when you sit down, you could take some time off and it could be your time when you are travelling in the train or your car or having your Koffee.

I have always believed that writing makes a huge impact on our mind. It is like your brain taken a photocopy of your thoughts and these make powerful impressions on our mind. Whenever I want my mind to permanently remember something, I write it down. It has always worked for me and I am sure it will continue to be so.  Coming back to the passion quotient, I would love to again rekindle my passion for singing, something I always loved doing passionately and that I had religious joined classes at some point in time. But with responsibilities, this passion somewhere dwindled and it did take a sabbatical. However, this desire to learn new things in life has always been something I have always been excited about in life and will surely continue to stay with me forever.

Dream big, live your passion and stay HAPPY always!!!

How Sorry can change relationships and make it better

Hi folks ! I am back after my Diwali break and I am sure all of you would have enjoyed Diwali in the manner in which it has to be celebrated with lots of sweets, lights, shopping etc.

This Diwali many of those friends who have somehow not been in touch also got in touch and it felt nice.  At times, we tend to miss out on friends knowingly or knowingly. Some friends and relationships simply fade away not because we wanted it to be but simply because there would have been misunderstandings from both sides.

A simply “Sorry” can truly makes things better and it is the first thing that can start off a conversation with someone you once knew or with someone whom you were once in touch.  Just imagine if we did not have this golden word “Sorry”.  Many of us would recollect that we were taught the golden words like Thank you, Sorry, Please, Excuse me in school.  But as years go, we somehow get so much engrossed in our routine life tht we forget the magic of these words. But thanks to wonderful self-development authors like Louise Hay, Neale Walsh, Robin Sharma, Dr. Wayne Dyer, we are getting back to ground basics.  There are many more authors who write brilliantly and who are wonderful in their own way. But I read more of these authors so thanks to them for making me stand my ground and realise my goal and purpose.

I totally am able to understand many of you who would truly feel a little uncomfortable when it came to saying sorry.  There is EGO that comes in between when we have to say sorry to someone.  But believe me, you are not going to become small by saying this.  It simply means that you are willing to let go the faults or mistakes of the opposite person and when you think in this manner, saying sorry truly becomes easier and simpler. It is not going to appear as a Herculean task absolutely.

Even relationships with parents, in laws, spouse and even your teenaged kids will become definitely better if you are able to let go and say the word Sorry.  If this blog post has even managed to make some impact and if you want to say Sorry to anyone,  please say it today.  THE TIME IS RIGHT NOW!!!!

Luv to all of you
